About two years ago I wrote a short series of posts in the forum runbg.net, but over time, this information remains somewhat buried among many topics. mytextcheck So I decided to post it here, for it has a website with the idea that a little easier will be in search engines. Information is copied 1:1 from question forum unchanged and still think it is accurate BUT! it is important to know that the 2014 Tour of Vitosha mytextcheck is a slightly altered route. Added new section 2-3, at the expense of others, the goal is to increase the displacement from 1500 to 2000 m and the distance from 92 km to 100 km. I.e. the information below is a description of the terrain of the previous years. mytextcheck
Hello friends, I want to start recording my thoughts on proper preparation for "Tour mytextcheck of Vitosha 2012" and in particular to give advice to people who seek simply to reach the final of 17-20 hours. Most older runners will find my advice as a normal thing they do without thinking. Due to lack of free time, I'll write more often and looking to describe in detail the various sub-points.
1) Meet with the course. If you live in Sofia, mytextcheck there is no reason not to spend a few hours on the weekend and not go for a walk on the racetrack. With the help of advanced phones can now download mytextcheck APS track and follow the route exactly, although marking a year ago hardly shows. mytextcheck It is advisable to test the two closest to Sofia paths. The first path is from the start - to the National History Museum in quiet area near the village Kladnitsa. This is the longest hill of the whole tour and immediately after launch. Much of it is on asphalt roads in Boyana, in the upper part joins the perimeter trail (after Trouble Water to the Pacific area). Depending on your speed - will take between 40 minutes and two hours to get to above. For the more adventurous, mytextcheck you can take the time to descend to the control point over Vladaia - about 15-30 minutes steep downhill pretty rough terrain followed by one kilometer pretty steep climb. After climbing up the bridge over the river which is a lovely and completely flat trail to Kladnitsa. Here you will after about 10 kilometers, and will remain for about 15 km to Kladnitsa. Can you turn and get off to Vladaia not go to Kladnitsa, but at least familiarize yourself with these first 10 km of the field. So you can determine what rate will move and distribute the forces of the whole event. Additionally, you can check where the route passes though, mytextcheck as it will run on it entirely in the dark part of the day. You should know that by Kladnitsa you will be wrapped entirely in a forest and there is no full moon or rural / urban light to pass through it. So get ready with beautiful headlamps / flashlights. mytextcheck Every year I see people who go without light and I am sure that many of them lose too much time walking slowly in the dark. The path is littered with small and larger stones and the possibility of tripping is great. If the weather is bad and there is mud, it becomes even harder. The second path is easily reachable from Zheleznitsa to the finals of the National History Museum. The trail is a little longer - about 25 kilometers, but it is easy to reach by bus from Sofia. Mashruta also very pleasant for walking. Starting from the railways goes on nice forest path Bistrica. Almost equal is and will delight you with its numerous bridges, benches and beautiful inscriptions on trees. This eco-trail is often used by Sofianes. Again, you're in the forest mytextcheck tunnel, but at least you will have daylight mytextcheck during the race. After Bistrica mytextcheck trail begins to descend to Simeonovo places becomes very rocky terrain. After Simeonovska lakes goal is to get Dragalevtzi and Boyana. There are many opportunities to drop the correct branch in this area, so we're looking good. It is important to note the pitch. Studded with outcrop and you should know that is not very pleasant after 80 km transition to m
