I Shall not live in vain.
I read poems for my daughter because her school recently decided to discontinue the poetry section in their English language instruction to treat. I been running for weeks to buy my disappointment in a system where a school can decide whether poetry is welcome in the classroom or not. My daughter's school has apparently decided Dutch language teaching should focus on issues such as the economy.
There are quite happy, "love" poems for young and old in Dutch. Small clusters of colors and fatuousness the condition of man in a perverse way to view. One such publication is: "I would prefer a miracle, poem for children from 6 to 106." It is published by Plint. Skirting combine like poetry and visual arts in their publications.

A Dutch poet who always youth and poetry autofax betrayed him, was Willem Wilmink. "I read to the class a wonderful poem," a line from Wilmink's poem, "the minister possessed" is the theme this year of the 100th anniversary of the Society Living languages.

Whether it be in 2014 worse off than in the past, the state of poetry in Dutch schools, I do not know really. On youtube happen anyway of anything and everything. All I know is that I'm in the year ahead a lot more poems for my daughter to read and maybe even one or two writes.

Solet, thanks for the blog. Maybe your daughter someday publish a volume of poetry, entitled "Taking the top of Emily Dickinson's head off." Beautiful illustration by Nicolene Louw those!
Solet, I enjoyed your contribution. I do this year 10 poems from "Toulopers" with matric, and also a study guide it done. It's wonderful autofax that you have a love for poetry to try growing your daughter. She will probably be appreciated as its parent. The Dutch poetry is striking. autofax
Sadness of the children who will hear less poetry! Just last year I experienced firsthand how children (grade 10's) A (slinksgekose) "poem autofax of the day" to enjoy. A person using any small "metanarratiefie" / excuse like. weather or event in the school autofax / community (rural, farming), or a new word (the clever autofax bit premature in their place to sit), to provide context and voila! A curse word do wonders, it allows especially the boys to hear more? Gert Vlok Nel was a hit!
How well your daughter understand Afrikaans? I am currently in love with many Ronelda Camphor poems - both hair bundles now come in December bought! Whoever the first time in one sitting read, delicious! Here is "good girls" from Having Sleeping Dogs:

Derrida says a poem is (partly) him something he soon "at heart" can learn. I began to see the sense of it, especially in these days of teenagers with their short attention draw / quick imaginations? Teens defy poets from - writing something that I can remember and twitter as the moment itself.

If we follow her poetry always interesting conversations over the country. I hope there are more teachers like you who have children living with trap slinksgekose poems. Do so forth. Leave a comment
